Are you passionate about helping learners achieve their potential? We are looking to recruit Bank Additional Learning Support Workers to join our dedicated support team.
As an Additional Learning Support Worker, you will provide individualised support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and participate fully in college life. Working closely with tutors, support staff and the Additional Learning Support Coordinator, you will encourage students to develop independence, confidence and achieve their learning goals.
This is a Bank Staff opportunity, and successful candidates will be offered a variable hours contract.

Key Responsibilities
-
Provide appropriate one-to-one and group support to learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Support students to engage actively in learning and develop independent learning skills.

Assist with removing barriers to learning and promoting student retention and achievement.

Contribute to student support planning and participate in learner reviews.

Provide personal care support where required.

Support exam access arrangements for learners.

Liaise effectively with tutors and other support staff regarding learner support needs.

Attend monitoring, planning and training meetings as required.

Complete relevant administration and record-keeping accurately and promptly.

Work across college sites as required and support learners in a professional, inclusive and respectful manner
Essential Criteria-
Good written and verbal communication skills at GCSE level or willingness to work towards achieving them.

Experience of working with students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Ability to create a supportive and inclusive environment for learners.

Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational skills and a professional approach.
