Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Full time and also Part time. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a high standard of care.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
Skills
- Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
- Proficient in using IT systems for documentation and communication within the healthcare environment.
