Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Plumbing)
Location: Civic Centre, Bromley, supporting the wider Bromley estate and other Ascot contracts across the South.
Salary: £38,000 – 42,000 per annum

The Position:
As Building Maintenance Technician / Mechanical & Plumbing Engineer, you will be based at the Civic Centre in Bromley, providing responsive and planned mechanical, plumbing and general building maintenance support across the wider Bromley estate. The role will also provide technical support to other Ascot contracts across the South, as required by the Engineering Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the Engineering Supervisor and wider Ascot engineering team by delivering safe, compliant and high-quality maintenance services in line with company, statutory and contractual standards.
· Ensure effective communication within the various Ascot Services departments including engineering resources.
· Constructively participate in colleague/client meetings as required.
· Ensure all PPM work across the Civic Centre, wider Bromley estate and nominated southern contracts is completed on time, with accurate paperwork submitted to enable upload to the client portal.
· Liaise professionally with clients, site stakeholders and subcontractors across Bromley and the wider Ascot southern contract portfolio.
· Ensuring all H&S paperwork is in place.
· Ensure all jobs are responded to and rectified within the SLA timescale.
· Ensure all open works are priority each morning.
· Evaluate, repair and maintain mechanical, plumbing and building services assets within your skill set.
· Liaising with and Supervising Sub-contractors.
· Update CAFM system/Service Desk with all relevant information on parts ordered, sizes or measurements and which suppliers it’s been ordered with.
· Be proactive around the building in fault finding.
· Ensure you take all responsibility and ownership for each job.
· Ensure no jobs are passed back to the relevant job owner without in-depth investigation
· Act as a key first point of contact for technical support at the Civic Centre and across the wider Bromley estate.
· Willing to be part of an on-call rota, usually around 1 week in 4 (£150 weekly on-call + £50 per call out + inflated hourly rate if called out, Company van included for on call duties and travelling between sites.
This will include:

The Candidate:
· Must be a qualified Mechanical / Plumbing Engineer, holding relevant trade qualifications and certificates.
· Previous trade experience in mechanical services, plumbing, heating, hot and cold-water systems, legionella control or HVAC would be desirable.
· Experience in a similar role / background in general building maintenance
· Full UK Driving License
· Great communication skills
· Very well organised
