At blue self storage, we’re growing fast, opening new sites, building strong local brands and becoming the go-to storage company for businesses across the UK. We’re looking for someone who loves being out in the field, meeting people, building relationships and spotting opportunities before anyone else does.
This isn’t a desk job.
You’ll be out in local business communities, visiting industrial estates, networking with companies and making sure blue self storage is the name people think of when they need storage.

What You’ll Be Doing
Outbound Sales & Business Development
- Making proactive outbound sales calls every week
- Researching and targeting local businesses
- Building and managing your own sales pipeline
- Following up leads properly and closing deals
- Generating new business instead of relying on inbound enquiries
Face-to-Face Relationship Building
- Visiting industrial estates and business parks
- Walking into businesses and introducing our services
- Booking and attending in-person meetings
- Becoming known locally as “the storage contact”
Networking & Community Presence
- Attending networking events and local business groups
- Representing blue self storage at trade shows and exhibitions
- Building strong referral partnerships with:
- Estate agents
- Removal companies
- Commercial property agents
- Developers
- Office fit-out businesses
Market & Competitor Research
- Visiting competitor sites
- Mystery shopping pricing and customer service
- Keeping up to date with local market activity
- Identifying opportunities in new and existing areas
Growing Commercial Accounts
- Securing higher-value B2B customers
- Building long-term storage partnerships
- Growing account value over time
- Supporting new site launches with early pipeline generation
What Success Looks Like
- Strong outbound sales activity

- A visible presence in every region
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in B2B sales, field sales or business development minimum 2 years
- Confident making outbound calls and approaching businesses
- Comfortable building relationships face-to-face
- Self-motivated and organised
- Commercially aware with a proactive mindset
- Happy travelling between sites
- Someone who enjoys being out in the field, not sat behind a desk all day
