Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cafe supervisor to join our small team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the store manager by assisting with opening and closing of the store, food preparation, serving customers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure all food is prepared and stored safely.
- Help with catering events by preparing meals according to specified menus and dietary requirements.
- Assist in opening and closing the store.
- Supervise team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience in a fast paced kitchen environment is essential.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation tasks.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
