Maintenance engineer
Location: Huntingdon and surrounding areas Job type: Permanent, full time Salary: £37,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience and shift pattern
The role
We are currently recruiting for a number of Maintenance Engineer positions on behalf of several well-established manufacturing and engineering businesses across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding area. Whether you are electrically biased, mechanically biased, or fully multi-skilled, we would love to hear from you.
Roles vary in terms of shift pattern, industry, and specialism, and salary will reflect both your experience and the working pattern involved. The types of roles we are looking to fill
- Reactive and planned preventative maintenance across a range of production and site equipment
- Fault finding and repair of mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Supporting installation, commissioning, and improvement projects
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Working as part of a maintenance team or independently depending on the site
Skills/experience
- A background in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
- Electrical, mechanical, or multi-skilled — all backgrounds considered
- Relevant qualifications such as City and Guilds, NVQ, HNC, HND, or apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, reliable approach with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working across a range of machinery and equipment
- Flexible and open to shift working where required
Salary & working hours
- Salary: £37,000 - £60,000 per annum — salary is dependent on experience, qualifications, and shift pattern
