We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our friendly NHS/private mixed dental practice.
Our modern three-surgery practice is fully equipped with digital X-rays, intraoral scanners, and recently refurbished surgeries featuring new dental chairs, providing a comfortable and efficient working environment for both clinicians and patients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician looking to join an established and supportive team. Our current Hygiene Therapist is relocating, meaning there is an established patient list ready to be taken over, providing an immediate opportunity to build a successful diary.
The successful candidate will provide a broad range of preventive, periodontal, and restorative care within their scope of practice, helping patients maintain and improve their oral health. The role includes delivering high-quality hygiene services, periodontal assessments and treatment, preventative advice, and Dental Therapy services such as restorative treatments, including fillings, where appropriate.
Key responsibilities include:
· Provide comprehensive dental hygiene and periodontal care, including scaling, polishing, periodontal assessments, periodontal treatment, and preventative therapies
· Deliver tailored oral health education, prevention advice, and motivation to support patients in maintaining good oral health
· Assess, diagnose, and manage periodontal conditions within your scope of practice, supporting patients with the prevention and treatment of gum disease
· Provide Dental Therapy services within your scope of practice, including restorative treatments such as fillings and other permitted clinical procedures
· Work collaboratively with dentists and the wider dental team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across both NHS and private services
· Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with current professional standards, clinical governance, and infection prevention and control requirements This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking practice that values high-quality dentistry, patient experience, and professional development.
Working Days and Hours:
- Wednesday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality hygiene and periodontal treatments to NHS and private patients
- Carry out routine dental hygiene appointments, including scaling, polishing, and preventative treatments
- Assess patients’ oral health and provide tailored oral hygiene advice
- Educate patients on effective home care, diet, and prevention of dental disease
- Work closely with the wider dental team to support excellent patient care
- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow all relevant infection control procedures
- Deliver care in line with current professional standards and guidelines
Remuneration:
This is a self-employed position, paid per Unit of Dental Activity (UDA) completed, with earnings based on clinical activity undertaken.
Requirements:
- GDC registration as a Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
- Ability to work independently while being part of a supportive dental team
- Commitment to providing high standards of clinical care

Pay: £17,160.00-£22,880.00 per year
