A few small changes will also make this advert attract stronger candidates:
- Increase the salary range if possible (for example, £31,000–£38,000 DOE). Candidates are much more likely to apply when they see a range.
- Mention any extras you offer, such as a company pension, paid certifications, bonus scheme, extra holiday, birthday off, private healthcare, or social events.
- Include a line like “No recruiters please.” if that’s your preference.
- Add a statement about your culture, such as “We hire for attitude as much as technical ability. If you’re motivated and eager to learn, we’ll help you build an exceptional career.”
This version feels much more like an opportunity than a vacancy, which generally results in more—and better—applications.
