Overview
We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Junior Football Coaches (age 16+) to join We Make Footballers Glasgow. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for developing players' skills and promoting a positive environment for children aged between 4-12 years old. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports coaching and football, looking to make a meaningful impact on children’s development.
*candidates must be available Monday & Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings term-time
Duties
- Deliver engaging training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels (session plans provided)
- Provide constructive feedback to players to encourage improvement and confidence
- Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among players
- Ensure the safety of all participants during training sessions by adhering to health and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Experience in playing football and preferably some experience on football coaching, although full training will be provided
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage players of varying ages and abilities
- Good communication skills to liaise with players and colleagues effectively
- Willingness to undertake training any further development of coaching skills is expected
- Passion for football and youth development is essential
