Permanent Part-Time Position / Drs Flood, Fegan, O’Hanlon & Dorman’s Practice, Newry
Our friendly GP Practice is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse / Nurse Prescriber to join our team. The Successful candidate will work alongside our 5 GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Prescribing Nurse, Healthcare Assistant, Treatment Room Nurse, experienced admin team and our wider multidisciplinary team (Pharmacists, Physiotherapist, Mental Health Practitioner and Social Worker) providing high quality, patient-centred nursing care within General Practice.
Hours Available
16 hours per week: Monday & Wednesday or
24 hours per week: Monday, Wednesday & Friday
The role will include a range of Practice Nursing duties, including Chronic Disease Management, vaccinations, cervical screening, spirometry, ECGs, venesections, health promotion and other General Practice Nursing services.
We are looking for:
· A Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
· Practice nursing experience desirable
· Independent Nurse Prescriber qualification desirable
· Excellent communication and clinical skills
· A caring, professional and friendly approach
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
