Job Summary - Permanent / Part Time / Term Time only / Monday to Friday 10.20 am - 2.20 pm
This is a new post providing medical and first aid support to our pupil services team. Experience in first aid or a medical environment is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. It is essential that the successful person is pupil centred and has their welfare as a priority.

Main Purpose of Post
To be the lead first aid member of staff during these working hours.
To provide associated medical and health administrative work.
To provide other support to pupil services / pastoral support as required.
Specific Duties:
First Aid and Medical / Health Administration
· Provide first aid to pupils, staff and visitors and to log accident details.
· Follow through accident information and keep records up to date.
· Deal with sick pupils and liaise with staff and parents as required.
· Ensure the Medical Tracker software system is up to date with all medical / first aid details.
· Support the Pupil Services Administrator with all medical and health related requests.
· Support administration of Individual Health Care Plans (IHCP’s)
· Contact parents in relation to medication and requests for painkillers
· Keep medication details up to date e.g. epipens.
· Keep first aid stocked and place orders as required
· Provide termly accident statistics to the Business Manager
· Assist with providing medical and contact detail reports for staff running trips and provide first aid resources as required.
· Assist with the organisation of pupil vaccinations and liaise with school nurse service.
· Report any safeguarding concerns to the Safeguarding Lead.
· Other first aid, medical / health administration within the scope and level of this post.
Other Support
· Provide cover for Pupil Services as and when required including dealing with pupil enquiries.
· Support the Office Manager with pupil related administration as required.
· Support for other pupil teams e.g. pastoral, as required.
· Other general office / pupil related duties within the scope and level of the post.
Pay: £11,516.00-£11,696.00 per year
