Manchester Cycling Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced MTB coach to join our growing performance programme.
We deliver structured, evidence-based coaching to young riders. We are quietly building something serious and we are looking for people who share that ambition and join us on our journey.
This role centres on working with a small group of riders, including an international athlete joining the academy in Manchester from September. You will deliver a mix of remote coaching support and in-person sessions at venues across Greater Manchester and the North West.
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to be part of a programme at its early stages, with real scope to grow with it.
What you will be doing
- Delivering structured on-bike coaching sessions
- Supporting riders with bespoke weekly training plans through TrainingPeaks
- Monitoring athlete progress and providing regular feedback
- Attending camps and events as required
- Working collaboratively with the wider coaching team
What we are looking for
- A passion for mountain biking and athlete development
- Experience coaching or working with young riders
- British Cycling qualification or equivalent coaching award, or demonstrable experience
- A current DBS check (enhanced)
- Valid safeguarding certificate
- Based in or able to travel to Greater Manchester regularly
- Reliable, professional and committed to the academy's values
