Family owned and run, we are a dedicated team carrying out a variety of construction and refurbishment projects as well as social housing contracts and direct residential work.
We urgently require additional floor fitters to strengthen our team and meet client demand.
We particularly need cap & cove, vinyl, carpet & safety flooring fitters.
** We understand that not all floor fitters will have cap & cove experience **
The day rate range is very difficult to list due to the variety of skillsets and experience therefore we encourage all applicants not to be put off by the range used in this advert and to apply so that your expectations can be openly discussed.
You will work for us on a self-employed status and all successful applicants must be registered for CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) with a valid UTR number in place.

Job Summary
The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring in commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Current CSCS card and other relevant qualifications highly desirable.
Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces for flooring installation, ensuring accuracy according to project specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and lay flooring materials such as wood, laminate, vinyl, or tiles.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure precise installation.
- Prepare subfloor surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying necessary adhesives or sealants.
- Install flooring materials securely and finish edges neatly using carpentry skills.
- Perform repairs or replacements of existing flooring as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction or flooring installation
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, saws, and screwdrivers.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of flooring measurement techniques.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring high-quality workmanship in every project undertaken.
