Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our team at DHL Livingston. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the company's high standards of service. Duties
- Conduct multiple daily deliveries to various locations within the assigned area, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs. Averaging 70 drops per day.
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures.
- Verify delivery details against orders and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting routine inspections and reporting any issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Follow all traffic laws and health & safety regulations during deliveries.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries made, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a multi-drop environment.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software is desirable. This role requires an organised individual with excellent time management skills, capable of managing multiple deliveries daily while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Previous experience in logistics or warehouse environments will be considered an asset for success in this position.
