Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Private Piano Teacher to provide personalised piano instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. The successful candidate will foster a positive learning environment, inspire musical growth, and tailor lessons to meet individual needs. This role offers an opportunity to share your expertise and cultivate a love for music in aspiring pianists.
Responsibilities
- Develop customised lesson plans that align with students’ goals, skill levels, and learning styles.
- Deliver engaging and effective piano lessons, ensuring clear instruction on technique, theory, and repertoire.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Prepare students for performances, exams, or competitions as appropriate.
- Maintain organised records of lesson plans, attendance, and student achievements.
- Foster a supportive and motivating atmosphere that nurtures musical confidence.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development and upcoming performances or assessments.
Skills
- Proven proficiency in piano performance with a solid understanding of music theory and sight-reading.
- Must be able to teach ABRSM and other exam boards
- Must be a minimum of Grade 8 in piano
- Experience in teaching students of different ages and abilities is desirable.
- Be comfortable with posting on social media platforms
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
- Organisational skills to plan lessons effectively and track student progress.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for music education.
- Ability to create a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and confidence. This role is ideal for individuals committed to fostering musical talent while providing professional instruction in a supportive setting.
There is room to grow within ES Music Academy; we ideally want 2 or 3 candidates to spread the evenings over 5-6 days a week!
