The role
This role sits at the heart of our warehouse operation. As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll support the day‑to‑day running of the site by handling goods in and out, preparing items for dispatch, and ensuring deliveries are processed accurately and on time to meet customer SLAs.
Why CitySprint
What we do matters — from everyday deliveries to time‑critical consignments — and this role plays a key part in making it happen. You’ll see the direct impact of your work and know you’re helping keep operations running smoothly when it really counts.
Who we are
CitySprint is a UK‑wide logistics business delivering same‑day and time‑critical services for customers who need things done right, first time. We work at pace, rely on good judgement, and trust our people to take ownership.
We’re also part of DPD and the wider Geopost group, which gives us the backing, scale and stability of a leading international delivery network — while CitySprint remains very much its own business, with a distinct focus and pace.
It’s a busy, fast‑moving role where priorities can change quickly, and you’ll be trusted to stay organised, communicate clearly, and solve problems as they arise.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensure all deliveries are scanned, sorted and then loaded onto the correct vehicles and any amendments are reported.
- To ensure all consignment movements are correctly logged.
- To report any damages or missing items.
- To report any defective equipment to ensure that repairs are carried out quickly and efficiently.
- To assist in the effective implementation of any new procedure or systems.
- Provide assistance to load the courier’s vehicles and maintaining order during the loading period.
- To ensure that house-keeping of the warehouse is maintained to a high standard
- Support the storage, order processing, picking and packing of the Service Centre consumable operation when required.
- Support off site clients when required.
What we’re looking for
- Highly organized and able to prioritise.
- A flexible approach, with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the business.
- Computer literacy, and able to quickly learn new software.
- Able to act on your own initiative without constant supervision.
- Previous experience is desirable, but full training will be given.
Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or delivery environment is beneficial, but not essential. We’re primarily looking for someone with the right attitude and a reliable, hands‑on approach.
All successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check.
