Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team in delivering exceptional streetfood experiences. We have 2 units in the Victorian Market, a production kitchen along with streetfood trailers that tour festivals & private events. This role involves preparing and serving up great food along with ensuring you adherence to food safety standards.
Duties
- Efficient food preparation and service
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly followed, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
- Develop new menu special items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences along with bespoke menus for private events and festivals.
- Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Proven experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Background in food production, cooking, and food presentation
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Experience in serving customers directly is an advantage but not essential
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
