Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated General Assistant / Barista to join our team at London Bridge. This full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment where you will serve customers, prepare food and beverages, and ensure smooth daily operations. The position is scheduled Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, perfect for those looking for a consistent routine with a lively team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items in accordance with company standards
- Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food preparation and service areas, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and manage basic math calculations for change
- Assist with food preparation tasks to support the kitchen team as needed
- Ensure timely delivery of orders to maintain excellent customer service
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to keep service flowing smoothly
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or familiarity with coffee-making equipment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
- A positive attitude with enthusiasm for delivering excellent service
