Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients.
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with organisational tasks such as restocking supplies and maintaining storage areas.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and other kitchen areas throughout shifts.
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Adhering to all health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment for all staff members.
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food hygiene standards is desirable.
- Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or catering establishments is beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
