Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting clients with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Helping clients maintain their independence and dignity
- Following individualised care plans to meet specific needs
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients
- Assisting with medication reminders and basic health monitoring under supervision
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
- Driving clients to appointments or outings when necessary (if applicable)
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and basic health and safety procedures is advantageous
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with clients and team members
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and following digital care protocols
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience are essential for building trust with clients
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving client transportation
