Job Summary
Eco-Trailer Limited designs and manufactures premium enclosed car transport trailers from our manufacturing facility in Middlesbrough.
We're looking for an experienced CNC Laser & Press Brake Operator to join our production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys producing high-quality precision components while working with modern machinery in an organised workshop.
The successful applicant will take ownership of laser cutting, bending and producing components to a consistently high standard.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC fibre laser cutting machine
- Set and operate CNC press brake machine
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Select correct tooling and bending sequences
- Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment
- Carry out first-off inspections
- Maintain dimensional accuracy throughout production
- Load and unload sheet material safely
- Deburr and prepare finished components
- Maintain machine cleanliness and routine maintenance
- Report quality issues promptly
- Work with production and welding teams to meet schedules
- Assist with continuous improvement of manufacturing processes
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machines
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC press brakes
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good understanding of tolerances
- Experience using calipers, steel rules and measuring equipment
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude
Desirable
- Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, Bodor or similar machinery
- Forklift licence
- CAD/CAM nesting experience
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
