Full Time Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Lead
We're looking for an experienced, passionate and hardworking Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Lead to join our growing team at Charlotte's of Baslow.
This is much more than a standard kitchen assistant role. We need someone who can confidently take ownership of the kitchen, maintain exceptionally high standards, and take pride in every plate that leaves the pass.
What we're looking for:
- Experience working in a busy commercial kitchen.
- A current Food Hygiene qualification.
- Outstanding food presentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently, manage the kitchen and stay organised during busy services.
- Someone who thrives under pressure and remains calm during peak times.
- A proactive person with plenty of initiative who doesn't need to be told what to do.
- Someone who enjoys creating new specials, contributing ideas and helping develop our menus.
- A reliable, hardworking team player with a positive attitude.
- High standards of cleanliness, food safety and organisation at all times.
The role:
- Preparing and serving fresh food to an exceptional standard.
- Managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Working closely with the front of house team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Creating daily and seasonal specials.
- Assisting with menu development and introducing exciting new ideas.
- Ensuring every dish is beautifully presented and consistent.
