Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef/Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing great quality dishes and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Manage food production processes, including portion control and presentation standards
- Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Maintain a organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to liaise with staff and customers professionally
- A passion for traditional pub food with an eye for detail in presentation and quality assurance
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
