Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and in their own homes. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring they receive tailored care that meets their specific needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
- Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and family members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Assist with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure the safety of all individuals under your care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Good understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents or clients.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being.
