The Ebrington Hotel is now seeking to recruit a Night Porter for their premises, Ebrington Square, Derry-Londonderry:
Night Porter – Job Details
Contract: Casual/ Permanent
Start date: TBC
Salary: Competitive
Hours of work: Casual
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and security of guests and hotel premises during the night shift
- Conduct regular patrols of the hotel and report any suspicious activity or potential security issues
- Respond to guest requests for assistance and provide exceptional customer service throughout the night
- Check guests in and out during the night shift
- Assist with guest luggage and transportation as needed
- Set up meeting and event spaces for the following day
- Ensure that all public areas and back-of-house areas are clean and tidy
- Complete nightly reports and reconcile any financial transactions that occur during the shift
- Provide support to other departments as needed during the night shift

Essential Criteria
- Previous experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Security awareness: Strong understanding of hotel security procedures and ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations
- Customer service skills: Ability to provide exceptional customer service and interact professionally with guests
- Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete administrative tasks and reports during the shift
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed by the hotel.

- Background in a busy hotel environment
