Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cook to join our team. You’ll be responsible for preparing freshly cooked meals that meet the dietary needs, preferences, and cultural requirements of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals in line with seasonal menus and resident preferences.
- Cater for special dietary requirements, including allergies, medical needs, and texture-modified diets.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety (in line with Food Hygiene Regulations).
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimise waste.
- Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure mealtimes are enjoyable and person-centred.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook/chef (care home or catering environment preferred).
- Food Hygiene Level 2 (Level 3 desirable).
- Knowledge of dietary needs for older adults.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Friendly, patient, and a genuine passion for cooking for others.
