Head of Finance
As a growing company, with a current headcount of 50, this role is vitally important. You will lead the accounting, bookkeeping and payroll activities for the company.
It is critical to have unwavering attention to detail along with an underlying care for the financial health of the company.
Founded in 2019 by 2 young founders, with a combined £4,000, they care as much today about each pound as they did then.
Key Responsibilities
1) Managing 2 Freelancers - these freelancers carry out various day-to-day bookkeeping activities (reconciling, uploading bills to our accounting software (Quickbooks), recording sales etc)
2) Bank Payments - whether paying staff on payday, or large supplier bills you are responsible for ensuring these payments are made accurately and at the appropriate time.
3) Cash collection - responsible from collecting cash from each store's safe, reconciling and depositing in the bank
4) Cost Savings - establishing where the company is over paying for products/services and finding solutions that improve the company's bottom line
5) Payroll - you are responsible for running payroll on the company's Quickbooks payroll software. You will be required to source the data for payroll using the company's HR software (PeopleHR).
Requirements
- A number of years in a similar role where you are directly responsible for similar functions.
- An accounting degree or equivalent.
- A ferocious eye for detail.
Pay: £35,000.00 per year
