Role Description
At an exciting time of growth and expansion, Living North is looking to build its commercial team. You will work on print and digital advertising and feature opportunities across our titles in the North East, Yorkshire and North West, engaging with decision makers to create and sell packages suitable for each client’s needs. You will be responsible for your own targets and sections, with the opportunity to build uncapped bonus as part of your role. You will also be working with the team to develop our business offer and build on Living North’s strong reputation within lifestyle sectors such as Food & Drink, Health & Beauty, Homes & Gardens and The Arts.
This role is a great opportunity for an ambitious person looking to develop skills and progress within commercial publishing, as part of a leading independent title.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifying and developing new business relationships with clients
- Managing and growing relationships with existing clients
- Creating promotional packages from across our print and digital services to meet client needs
- Hitting individual and team targets
- Collaborating with Editorial, Design and Events teams to meet client needs
About You
In the successful candidate we are ideally looking for:
- At least 1 year’s sales experience, ideally within B2B
- Excellent communication skills, including written, on the phone and in person
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Experience working to targets
- Accurate research skills and knowledge of the North East, Yorkshire and/or the North West lifestyle landscape is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills
- Confident presentation skills to demonstrate our offering to clients
Organisation Description
Living North is an independent business producing leading lifestyle magazines for the North East, Yorkshire and the North West. Covering all aspects of lifestyle including food and drink, fashion, health and beauty, interiors and what’s on, Living North also produces niche supplements alongside the main magazine. It has a bought and paid-for circulation and is the respected choice across the North of England. Content is targeted to ABC1, 25 plus affluent men and women living in the North East, Yorkshire and the North West. Living North is also actively represented on all forms of social media and we have a strong events portfolio, running for 20 years, with a respected and successful reputation across our regions and the events circuit.
Location
Newcastle. This is an office-based role.
Salary
Competitive base salary, depending on experience, and uncapped bonus, with regular pay and progression reviews.
Pay: £25,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
