Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fettler/Polisher to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for refining metal components through precise grinding, polishing, and finishing techniques to ensure high-quality products that meet strict standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of durable, polished parts used across various industries. Responsibilities
- Use hand tools, power tools, and grinding equipment to smooth and polish metal surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Operate fabrication machinery, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), to assist in component processing and automation tasks.
- Follow detailed work instructions and engineering drawings created with SolidWorks or similar CAD software to accurately shape and finish parts.
- Perform welding and assembly tasks as needed to prepare components for final finishing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including tooling and equipment, to promote safety and efficiency.
- Conduct basic math calculations to measure dimensions, tolerances, and material quantities accurately.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for proper handling, storage, and transportation of finished parts.
Experience
- Prior experience in fabrication, grinding, polishing, or metal finishing is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and mechanical knowledge related to metalworking processes.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and tooling used in finishing operations.
- Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks is a plus.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software for interpreting technical drawings.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with assembly processes enhances your suitability for this role.
- Strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to follow precise instructions are essential for success.

Pay: £12.71-£17.00 per hour
