Kitchen Assistant – Hale Golf Club, Hale
Hale Golf Club is a prestigious private members' club founded in 1903, located in the heart of South Trafford, approximately ten miles south of Manchester city centre. With around 500 members, the Club is renowned for the quality of its course, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent food and hospitality.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for food and hospitality who enjoys working in a busy, professional environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service to our members and guests.
Working alongside our Head Chef, you will support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, helping to deliver a varied food offering including casual bar meals, member dining, group lunches, functions, and special events.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with food preparation, ensuring dishes are prepared to high quality standards and in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen and dining areas during service
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures, ensuring the safe handling and storage of food
- Providing a friendly and professional service to members and guests, responding promptly to requests where required
- Assisting with meal assembly, presentation and garnishing to ensure dishes are presented to a high standard
- Working closely with the Head Chef and wider team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service or a kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and good hygiene practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and members
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in food presentation and cleanliness
- A friendly, positive attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Flexibility to work day’s evening’s and weekend’s as required
- Part or Full time available
