Summary
We are seeking Complex Needs Support Workers to join our team at Compassionate Professional Care Services Ltd. This role involves providing essential support to a male individual (aged 38) with cerebral palsy in his home setting, ensuring his comfort, safety, and well-being. The position offers flexible working hours to accommodate your availability.
Responsibilities
- Assist client with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal care and social activities
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions
- Provide emotional support and companionship to client, fostering a positive environment
- Accompany the individual to social activities, transporting him using his own wheelchair accessible vehicle (Driving licence essential)
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for client
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition
Requirements
- Previous experience in complex needs or care giving role is essential
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic healthcare practices is essential, although full training and shadowing will be given
- Understanding of cerebral palsy
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with client, family, team members and health professionals
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including using hoist equipment when necessary
