Showroom Sales Assistant
Location: Aylesford, KentSalary: £25,000–£27,000 basic + performance-related bonus
We are looking for a friendly, hardworking and ambitious Showroom Sales Assistant to join our growing tile and bathroom business.
No previous tile or bathroom experience is required. Full product training will be provided.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop a career in sales and the tile & bathroom industry.
The Role
You’ll work alongside our experienced sales team and learn how to sell tiles, bathrooms and associated products.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers into the showroom
- Assisting customers with their enquiries
- Learning about our tile and bathroom products
- Supporting the sales team with quotations and orders
- Following up customer enquiries
- Helping convert enquiries into sales
- Developing relationships with retail and trade customers
- Answering phone calls and emails
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Stacking and organising tiles and bathroom products
- Keeping stock organised
- Maintaining showroom displays
- Keeping the showroom clean, tidy and presentable
- Helping with general day-to-day showroom operations
About You
No industry experience is required, but you must have the right attitude.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly and confident with customers
- Hardworking and reliable
- Ambitious and motivated to earn more
- Comfortable speaking to customers face-to-face and over the phone
- Organised and able to manage different tasks
- Presentable and professional
- A quick learner
- Happy to get stuck in with physical work
- Comfortable working as part of a small team
- Interested in developing sales skills
Previous experience in retail, customer service, sales, trade counter, construction or a similar environment would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.
Working Hours
Full-time position with weekend availability required.
Working days will be arranged around our showroom opening hours and on a rota basis.
Showroom opening hours:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00am–6:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am–5:00pm
- Sunday: 10:00am–4:00pm
The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work weekends as part of a rota.
