Duties
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to promote dignity and comfort
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities, encouraging independence where possible
- Follow personalized care plans to meet each person’s specific needs and preferences
- Maintain clear communication with residents, families, and the wider care team to ensure seamless support
- Record observations, updates, and any changes in health or behavior accurately using IT systems
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Help create a safe and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and compassionately
- Good IT skills for recording data and updating electronic care records
- Valid driving license is preferred for home care roles involving travel between locations
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential—training will be provided
- Fluency in English is required to ensure clear understanding of instructions and effective communication
