Personal Assistant / Support Worker Needed – East Grinstead (RH19)
We are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant/Support Worker to support an 18-year-old young man living in the East Grinstead (RH19) area.
He is a friendly, sociable young man who enjoys spending time out in the community. He communicates his basic needs using a few words and thrives with patient, encouraging support from someone who is creative, flexible and understanding.
At times he may experience behaviours that challenge, so experience and confidence in positive behaviour support is important.

Main Duties
- Supporting community outings and activities
- Assisting with eating and drinking
- Shopping and social activities
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Transporting to activities and outings
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience supporting children or adults with special needs
- Experience managing challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner
- Epilepsy practical training
- Team Teach / Positive Handling experience preferred
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Enjoys outdoor activities and community engagement
