Vac Ex Operator Wanted – Midlands | Infocus Resources
Infocus Resources, a small and reliable family-run construction business, is looking for an experienced Vacuum Excavation (Vac Ex) Operator to join our team. This is a full-time role, with work beginning late December or January.
Role Overview
As a Vac Ex Operator, you will operate vacuum excavation equipment to safely expose and excavate around underground utilities and infrastructure. You will work closely with our team to ensure every project is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Vac Ex equipment in line with safety procedures
- Safely excavate around underground utilities
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues
- Accurately report and document daily work activities
- Work collaboratively with team members on various assignments
- Adapt to diverse project environments and work locations
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience operating vacuum excavation machinery
- Strong understanding of underground utility systems and safe excavation practices
- Ability to perform maintenance and identify equipment faults
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- High attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
- Valid Class 2 HGV driver’s licence
- Previous experience in construction or excavation roles is essential
- Rate: Negotiable
