Cathedral Garage is a long-established, family-run independent garage with an excellent reputation for providing honest, reliable, and professional vehicle repairs and MOT testing. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Class 4 & 7 MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join our team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Carrying out Class 4 & 7 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.
· Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
· Diagnostics and fault finding.
· Mechanical repairs on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles.
· Tyre fitting, balancing and puncture repairs.
· Clutch, timing belt, brake, suspension, steering and exhaust repairs.
· Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
· Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Essential Requirements
· Current Class 4 & 7 MOT Tester licence.
· Qualified Vehicle Technician/Mechanic (Level 3 or equivalent preferred).
· Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
· Experience working on a wide variety of vehicles.
· Full UK driving licence.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Reliable, hardworking and committed to delivering excellent workmanship.
Desirable
· Class 2 MOT Tester qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
· Experience with vehicle diagnostics and modern vehicle systems.
· Air conditioning qualification.
