Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene and safe handling of ingredients at all times
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, and portioning as directed
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and working collaboratively with colleagues
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant service, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices is advantageous
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles will help you excel in this position
- Ability to follow instructions carefully while working efficiently in a busy setting
- Strong understanding of hygiene standards related to food safety and sanitation
