Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver clear, engaging physics lessons aligned with A Level curriculum standards
- Assess students’ current understanding and tailor instruction to meet their specific needs
- Explain complex physics concepts using real-world examples and interactive teaching methods
- Support students in developing effective study techniques and exam strategies
- Track student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback
- Create a positive, encouraging learning environment that promotes curiosity and confidence
- Communicate regularly with students and parents about progress, challenges, and goals
Experience
- Proven experience tutoring or teaching physics at the A Level or equivalent level
- Strong understanding of physics principles, theories, and problem-solving techniques
- Experience working with children or young learners in an educational setting
- Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) is a plus, with the ability to adapt teaching approaches accordingly
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex ideas and foster student engagement
- Demonstrated ability to motivate students and build rapport in a one-on-one or small group setting
