We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Domestic Staff to join our friendly team and help us maintain a clean and safe environment.
Job Overview:
As a Domestic at Briercliffe Lodge, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the premises to ensure the comfort, health, and safety of our residents and staff. You will work as part of a team to provide exceptional cleanliness in all areas of the lodge, including bedrooms, common areas, and facilities. A key aspect of the role involves adhering to strict COSHH guidelines and infection control protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in the lodge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain the lodge’s communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and hallways to a high standard.
- Follow COSHH guidelines when using cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials to ensure safe usage and storage.
- Ensure that all areas are cleaned using appropriate cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
- Change bed linens and towels, ensuring they are washed, dried, and returned promptly.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and linen.
- Empty bins and remove waste from all areas of the lodge, ensuring proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illness and infection.
- Assist with laundry duties, ensuring hygiene standards are consistently met.
- Ensure outdoor areas, including paths and patios, are kept clean and safe.
- Report any maintenance, safety, or infection control concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or domestic role is preferred but not essential.
- A good understanding of COSHH and infection control practices, or willingness to undertake relevant training.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexibility in working hours as required.
Additional Requirements:
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check prior to starting the role.
- Employment is subject to satisfactory references and clearance.
