Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, alongside the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy setting.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications and their administration.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to maintain an organised and efficient workflow.
- Assist in the preparation of medication orders and ensure proper labelling of all dispensed items.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills related to medication administration and patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medication administration practices and patient care principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
