Start times range from 1600-0200 depending on the route assigned. Parsons have 48 stores we deliver too. We have 8 routes that contain 6 shop deliveries on each. As part of the driving team you will be responsible for 1 route.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and ensure prompt service
- Load, secure, and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage during transit
- Verify delivery details with customers upon arrival and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and documentation of all shipments
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on the route
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude toward safety protocols
- Prior experience with delivery driver roles is highly desirable
- Must be over 25 due to driving license requirement
Pay: £12.80 per hour
