Must have Driving License- Kitchen Assistant must be able to work between Grantham and Melton Store.
The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of food, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting in the kitchen staff’s daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, as well as strong culinary skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of food as required by the Head chef
- Ensure that all food is prepared to The Kentish Hare standards
- Maintain sanitation standards at all times
- Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and maintained
- Set up and tear down workstations as needed
- Perform daily inspections of kitchen equipment and appliances to ensure proper functioning
- Work with other departments to ensure the smooth running of operations
- Assist in maintaining a positive work environment for staff and guests
- Other duties as assigned by the Head chef or management team
