Engineered Systems Electrical have been operating for over 34 years and are a long established, family owned provider of High-Voltage contracting services.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring all aspects of the project are thoroughly evaluated. Your energetic approach and keen eye for detail will contribute to successful project planning and execution. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in cost analysis, project budgeting, and cost control strategies within a collaborative environment.
Duties
- Collaborate with senior estimators to gather and analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates by researching material prices, labor costs, and subcontractor quotes
- Support the review of project scopes to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks
- Help maintain organised records of all estimating documents, including bid proposals and pricing spreadsheets
- Participate in site visits and meetings to gather on-the-ground insights that influence cost estimates
- Sourcing and managing new and existing supply chain partnerships.
- Prioritise workload and work accurately on multiple projects.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and suppliers
- Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- UK Driving Licence is preferable
- Knowledge of Microsoft software's such as Excel
- Must hold GCSE's in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or higher.
Hours of work
- 07:00am-16:00pm (Monday to Thursday)
- 07:00am-12:00pm(Friday)

Pay: £25,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
