Porter (Full-Time)

Anthemion Auctions is seeking a reliable, professional, practical and physically capable Porter to join our established auction house team in Cardiff. This is a full-time, hands-on role ideal for someone who is organised, methodical and enjoys varied work in a supportive environment.
About the role
The role is physically active. On a typical day you will regularly lift, carry, move and arrange furniture and heavy or bulky items throughout our premises so you should be comfortable with sustained physical work. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately complete Customer Receipt forms and label incoming items.
- File paperwork and manage goods using customer reference numbers.
- Organise stock in the correct locations and check against receipt forms.
- Set up auction lots, move and display furniture attractively.
- Carry out regular stock checks to ensure everything is accounted for.
- Assist customers with loading/unloading their items, including furniture.
- Occasionally collect individual items or furniture for upcoming auctions.
- Complete haulage jobs as assigned in a timely and professional manner.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties in support of the auction process.
What we're looking for
- Comfortable with regular physical work, including lifting and moving furniture.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- A friendly, professional approach to customer service.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft.
- A valid full UK driving licence (required, as the role includes collections and haulage).
- Willingness to undergo a Full DBS check before starting employment (required).
