We have an exciting vacancy working in our busy, motivated team producing some of the industry’s halo projects ranging from Formula One, automotive performance hypercars to innovative defence projects.
We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Quality Engineer to join us, supporting the manufacture of high performance composite components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure visual and structural composite components meet all customer, quality and production requirements.
- Work closely with customers to define and embed quality requirements within production processes, including support for PPAP documentation.
- Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), concessions and associated quality documentation.
- Investigate and resolve internal and external quality concerns, implementing effective containment, corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with Inspection, Production and Engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, control plans and process documentation to ensure consistent, repeatable manufacturing processes and customer satisfaction.
- Liaise directly with customers and suppliers to address quality issues, concessions and improvement opportunities, utilising structured problem solving techniques such as 5 Why and 8D methodologies.
- Support and maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems and certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949.
- Manage quarantine areas and non-conforming product processes, ensuring issues are processed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process capability and operational performance.
This role requires a hands on individual with strong problem-# solving skills, excellent communication abilities and a passion for delivering quality excellence in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Previous composite knowledge useful but not essential.
Automotive experience preferred.
