Project Overview
- Location: Vietnam
- Duration: 5 Months (Starting Early June 2026)
- Industry: Thermal Power Plant (Coal-fired)
- Mandatory Requirements: Hold a College or University degree from an accredited institution located in Australia/Belgium/Canada/Denmark/Finland/France/Germany/ Iceland/Italy/Japan/Liechtenstein/Luxembourg/Monaco/Netherlands/New Zealand/Norway/Sweden/Switzerland/United Kingdom/United States.
- Role & Team Leadership: Direct and manage the Project Management Consultant (PMC) commissioning engineering team at the site for a major 1200MW coal-fired power plant.
- Core Engineering Background: Requires a degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering (or Electrical/C&I if backed by extensive, deep commissioning expertise).
- Project Experience: Minimum 10 years in power generation, with equivalent leadership roles in at least two coal-fired projects larger than 600MW, and documented EPC supervision consultancy experience.
- Contractor & Progress Control: Review and approve the EPC contractor’s overall commissioning plan, procedures, and reports while strictly tracking progress to secure the Commercial Operation Date (COD).
- Critical Phase Supervision: Closely monitor critical high-risk milestones, including steam blowing, load testing, grid synchronization, and hot/cold commissioning phases.
- HSE & Risk Management: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations during the commissioning phase, which is identified as the project's highest-risk period.
- Defect & Punch-list Handling: Directly manage, classify, and resolve defect punch-lists, compelling the EPC contractor to rectify issues before moving to subsequent project steps.
- Performance Testing & Acceptance: Chair and supervise crucial Performance Tests (Heat Rate, efficiency, power output) to protect the Owner's interests and prevent contract disputes.
- Technical Problem Solving: Resolve critical bottlenecks, design deviations, and post-synchronization incidents, utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for mechanical and DCS-related issues.
- Handover & PAC/FAC Certification: Manage the handover of as-built documentation and operations training, ultimately certifying milestones for Provisional and Final Acceptance Certificates (PAC/FAC).
