At DW Windsor, we're looking for a Project Sales Engineer to drive business growth across the South West & Wales region. This is an exciting opportunity to work with local authorities, consultants, contractors and developers, developing project opportunities from initial engagement through to specification and conversion.

The Opportunity
As Project Sales Engineer, you'll be responsible for identifying, developing and converting project opportunities throughout South West England and Wales. You'll build strong relationships with key stakeholders including Local Authorities, M&E Consultants, Contractors, Housebuilders and Developers, whilst promoting DW Windsor's market-leading solutions and capabilities.
This is a highly visible role where you'll combine business development, technical understanding and relationship management to create long-term growth within your territory.
What You'll Be Doing
Business Development & Customer Engagement
- Develop and convert new project opportunities across the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.
- Promote new products and solutions through regular customer visits.
- Deliver CPDs, presentations and technical briefings.
- Attend industry networking events, exhibitions and customer engagement activities.
- Build relationships through professional bodies such as CIBSE, SLL and HEA.
Project & Technical Support
- Engage with customers at the earliest stages of projects to influence specifications.
- Interpret project briefs, drawings and specifications to identify opportunities.
- Work with technical teams to develop lighting solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Provide product recommendations and technical guidance.
- Support projects from initial enquiry through to successful conversion.
Territory & Pipeline Management
- Maintain an accurate CRM database and opportunity pipeline.
- Forecast project activity, manage opportunities effectively & attend Quarterly Sales Meeting.
- Collaborate with internal sales, technical, marketing and customer service teams.
- Ensure all project details, stakeholders and commercial values are accurately documented.
What We're Looking For
Essential
· Experience in business development, specification sales, project sales or key account management.
· Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience presenting to customers
· Commercial awareness with a proven ability to identify and convert opportunities.
· Excellent organisational and territory management skills.
· Experience working with consultants, contractors, Local Authorities or other project stakeholders.
· Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel throughout South West & Wales.
Desirable
· Experience within lighting, electrical, construction or infrastructure sectors.
· Understanding of specification-led sales environments.
· Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
· Familiarity with organisations such as CIBSE, SLL or HEA.
· Experience using CRM and pipeline management systems.
