- This role is based upon a temporary contract covering Maternity Leave for a maximum of 12 months.
We are looking for a passionate, caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Wraparound Care Practitioner to join our dedicated team. Working alongside colleagues, you will build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families, while planning and delivering exciting, child-led activities that encourage creativity, curiosity and play.
You will have the skills to support children's emotional wellbeing, independence and confidence, encouraging positive behaviour through kindness, respect and understanding whilst ensuring every child in our care is safe, happy and fully engaged throughout each session.
Working collaboratively with schools, parents and the wider team to provide the very best experience for every child you will contribute ideas to continually improve our provision and create memorable experiences.
Driving Requirements.
- As part of this role, you will be responsible for safely collecting children from local schools and transporting them to and from our Afterschool Club using the YMCA Humber minibus. This is a key part of ensuring children enjoy a safe, seamless transition from the school day into our welcoming club environment.
- As driving the minibus forms an essential part of the role, applicants must hold a full, clean UK driving licence, have held their licence for a minimum of two years, be 21 years of age or over, and confident driving a minibus. All drivers must meet YMCA Humber's insurance requirements.

- We know that great practitioners come from many different backgrounds and therefore actively welcome applications from people working as Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Early Years or Nursery Practitioners and Playworkers.
We are looking for someone who holds a:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, Playwork, Education or relevant discipline.
- In addition you will have experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, playwork, youth work, holiday club or other child-centred setting. Above all, we're seeking someone who is passionate about supporting children to learn, play and thrive in a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment.
Pay: £15,121.00 per year
