About the Role
Our client is an established and growing domiciliary care provider in Leicester, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to adults within their own homes. The service is fully operational and has an established care team, client base, and infrastructure in place.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance, and business performance. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious manager who is passionate about delivering outstanding care while developing and growing a successful domiciliary care service.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with CQC regulations, leading and developing staff, ensuring excellent outcomes for service users, and driving sustainable business growth. Registered Managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of regulated activities and share legal responsibility with the provider for meeting regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service.
- Maintain full compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and all relevant legislation.
- Ensure safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led service delivery.
- Manage care quality, audits, governance and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, supervise, mentor and develop Care Coordinators, Field Care Supervisors and Care Assistants.
- Conduct regular staff supervisions, appraisals and competency assessments.
- Manage safeguarding concerns, complaints, incidents and investigations appropriately.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and person-centred support plans.
- Ensure medication management procedures are followed safely.
- Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, NHS professionals, commissioners, families and other stakeholders.
- Monitor service performance including quality, compliance, staffing levels and financial performance.
- Drive business development by increasing care packages whilst maintaining excellent quality standards.
- Manage rotas and staffing to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
- Promote a positive culture focused on dignity, independence and outstanding customer service.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager within domiciliary care.
- Thorough understanding of CQC regulations, Health and Social Care Act 2008, safeguarding and adult social care legislation.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards).
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Experience managing compliance, audits and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and service performance.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience developing domiciliary care services and increasing care hours.
- Experience working with Local Authority and NHS contracts.
- Knowledge of electronic care planning and rostering systems.
- Experience managing complex care packages.
