Kench Construction Ltd are seeking experienced electrical subcontractors and electrical teams to support a range of commercial and refurbishment projects. Opportunities will arise on a project-by-project basis, and we are looking to partner with reliable contractors for future works.
The majority of our projects are carried out within schools and educational facilities, therefore all operatives must hold a valid DBS certificate and be able to work in accordance with safeguarding requirements.
Previous experience in school refurbishment projects is highly desirable, including:
- Small power and lighting installations
- Distribution board upgrades and alterations
- Emergency lighting installations and testing
- Data and containment installations
- Electrical fault finding and reactive maintenance
- Testing, inspection and certification
We are also looking for contractors with experience in:
- Fire alarm installations, maintenance and repairs
- Smoke detection systems
- Emergency lighting systems
- Fire alarm fault finding and commissioning
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive call-out works
- Electrical upgrades and refurbishment projects
Applicants must be reliable, professional, and capable of working to programme whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship in live educational environments.
Requirements:
- Valid DBS certificate
- Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- ECS/CSCS card
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Testing and Inspection qualifications preferred (2391 or equivalent)
- Own tools and transport
- Public liability insurance
- Previous experience working within schools and occupied buildings
